Hier sieht man schon ein wenig mehr von dem guten Stück. Die Farben stimmen ziemlich gut mit dem Original überein. Ich habe Elastico Big von Lana Grossa verwendet, mit Knöpfen wiegt die Jacke 260 Gramm. Die Wolle für das Projekt hatte ich noch im Stash. Eigentlich hätte für mich ein Oberteil daraus werden sollen, aber da die Wolle noch elastischer ist als der Name es sowieso schon vermuten lässt, hing es unschön. Also habe ich alles wieder aufgeribbelt und zur weiteren Verwendung im Stash gelagert. Mein Lieblingsgarn wird das nicht, aber für die Jacke ist es genau richtig, denn durch die Dehnbarkeit des Garns kann sie noch ein paar Zentimeter mit dem Kind mitwachsen.

I used Elastico Big by Lana Grossa, in the end the overall weight is 260 grams, or 9.2 oz, buttons included. I found the yarn in my stash. It was intended for a top, but then it was just sagging around me. The yarn is even more elastic than you might assume by the name. Finally I found myself unravelling it and balling it, putting it back in the stash. This will never be my favourite yarn, but for this cardigan it’s just the right stuff, it will stretch when the little girl grows some inches.
Und so sieht die Jacke „Aphrodite“ in voller Schönheit aus. Ich habe die englischsprachige Anleitung von Cathy Rubin hier auf Ravelry erstanden. Ihr Geld ist die Anleitung alle Mal wert, denn sie ist nicht nur ausführlich, sondern auch für insgesamt acht Größen ausgelegt, wobei die einzelnen Größen immer in unterschiedlichen Farben dargestellt sind. So fällt es leicht, die Übersicht zu behalten.
Die Anleitung für den Lace-Rand ist als Strickschrift und ausgeschrieben angegeben. Ich finde das Muster, das sich einmal um die gesamte Jacke zieht und etwas kleiner auch auf den Ärmeln zu finden ist, sehr dekorativ. Außerdem bringt es Abwechslung ins Stricken, ohne zu kompliziert zu sein.
Ich habe mich für die Version mit Kapuze entschieden, die Jacke kann aber auch ohne gestrickt werden. Gestrickt wird von der Kapuze oder dem Halsrand aus mit Raglanzunahmen nach unten. Mir hat das Stricken viel Spaß gemacht, es ist ein schönes Projekt für Leute, die schon etwas Übung mit den Nadeln haben.

It’s easily worth the expense, since it’s quite elaborate and contains instructions for eight different sizes. The sizes are presented in different colours, which helps a lot in keeping the track on things.
The pattern for the lacey edges are presented as chart and also in plain text. I personally like the ornamental pattern, it goes all around the cardigan and is repeated at the sleeves. It’s a nice variation in the knitting work and not complicated at all.
I decided to do the hooded version, the coat can be knitted without hood just the same. The knitting is started from the hood or the collar as to down raglan. I enjoyed knitting a lot, I think it’s a beautiful project for people who do have some routine with the needles.
